Plant Supports and Willow Sculptures |
|
|
Plant supports from sturdy sweet pea climbers to supports for a single flower. My plant supports are designed to add a sculptural element to a garden, while being made from a natural material that blends in with a growing environment. I can teach you how to make your own sweet pea support. Learn the Craft |
Community willow weaving projects. George the Giant was woven by members of the public of all ages in Penn Wood, Bucks in spring 2006. Click here for details of workshops |

School projects. I make domes, tunnels, arbours and fences, particularly in school playgrounds, using living willow in winter or early spring, or dried willow throughout the year. Pupil participation is encouraged: each child can be shown how to weave and have a hand in constructing part of the project. |
Willow sculptures
for special gardens. In 2004 I was pleased to make Monty the 15 foot snake for the Snakes and Ladders Garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show. The garden, designed by Kevin Scully of the Berkshire College of Agriculture, not only won a Silver Gilt Medal, but was also awarded Best Garden in Show in the small gardens category. |

I teach willow plant supports and other garden structures using dried or living willow, and willow sculpture. I can also provide an advisory service for schools undertaking willow projects. Learn the Craft |
